We're excited for you to join our Union College family. Move in and uConnect are your opportunity to learn about our campus, get settled in and get ready to start the school year off right. Plus, it's required for all new students.
August 17—Move into the residence hall
Move-in times
You can move into the residence halls between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17. Be sure to stop by the front desk of your dorm to get your welcome packet and check in.
If you plan to move in earlier in the week, please contact the dean listed below. Please note that no one will be allowed to move in between sundown Friday and sundown Saturday.

Start the semester off right
Once you've moved in, or if you live in the community, your next step is to complete registration and attend uConnect to be ready to start classes on August 22.
August 17—Move in
Get moved in to your residence hall and settled. There will be plenty of time to finish registration on Thursday, August, 18.
Registration—8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Registration offices will be open so you can ask questions and finish your Registration Checklist.

August 18—Registration and uConnect
Registration—8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Come to the Don Love Building Atrium to take your official college ID photo and get your ID card. All of our registration stops will be set up in Atrium so you can ask questions and finish your Registration Checklist.
Remember, you can finish nearly every item on the Registration Checklist before you arrive on campus. Get it done right away so you have more of the day to get settled in and ready for classes.
Lunch will be in Union Market. Make sure you get your ID card in the Visitor Center so that you can start charging your meals.
uConnect Welcome—4:00 p.m.
This event is for all new students and parents. We'll kick off the orientation event and dedicate the school year to God.
President's Dinner (FREE)—5:00 p.m.
New students and their families are invited to share a FREE meal with the president.
Student mixer—6:00 p.m.
This event is designed to help new students get to know each other and the campus.
Evening of fun—7:30 p.m.
We have some great activities planned where you'll get to meet Union's student leaders.
August 19—uConnect
Registration—8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Registration offices will be open so you can ask questions and finish your Registration Checklist.
uConnect events—10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Get to know Union all get the tools you needs to start college successfully.
Family Worship—7:30 p.m.
Welcome the Sabbath with the Union family.
August 20—Worship
Worship with the Union College family. Specific events will be posted soon.
August 21—Get ready
ACT Test (optional)—8:30 a.m.
If you want to take (or retake) the ACT to try for those top scholarships, Union will offer an on-campus ACT test in Krueger Center room 230. Learn more and register here.
Registration—10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Registration offices will be open so you can ask questions and finish your Registration Checklist.
Welcome Back Party!—5:30 p.m.
Start the school year off with free pizza, new friends and fun.

Hey parents, we looking forward to meeting you as you help your student move in and get settled at Union.
You can't directly access the Registration Checklist without your student's UC-ID, but you can see all the forms they need to complete here.

Parent Orientation Session—August 18
Parents, you're invited to join on Thursday, August 18 for a dedication service, supper, and orientation service especially for parents.

If you can't join us in person, the orientation session will be available to watch live at ucollege.edu/utv
Registration on campus
If you arrive early and have questions about registration, finances or anything else related to enrolling at Union, office will be open across campus for registration at these times:

Lincoln is one of those great big little cities: big enough to have a wide variety of shopping, dining, internships, jobs, and cultural and entertainment opportunities, but small enough to drive across town without burning a tank of gas. Traveling from overseas? We can help!
International students
Make sure you’ve done everything on your international checklist and have communicated about airport transportation and bedding packets.
Remember, if you are traveling from overseas, you will be required to quarantine for two weeks. You will be able to quarantine in your room in the residence hall. Please contact the dean for more information.

Transportation to campus—Need help getting from the Lincoln or Omaha airports to Union College? No problem! We provide free airport pick up for new students and their parents. Please email visit@ucollege.edu with your itinerary and cell phone number at least 1 week before your flight departs. The earlier you can email your itinerary, the better.
ACT test (Optional)—Union will offer an ACT test during registration. You can use this time to try to raise your score on any combinations of sections. This is a residual test which means your score is only good at Union College. To learn more or register, click here.
Best cell phone service—While you can use any cell phone carrier, Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile and US Cellular provide the best reception on campus.
Finding a Job
- Register for your classes. Potential employers want to know if your free times match with when they need workers.
- Check our job board. Apply via email to the contact listed in the posting.
- Follow up with the people you applied to. Make sure they know you are interested in the job.
- Don't find a fit? Custodial, Union Market and the Larson Lifestyle Center are the largest student employers on campus. Contact them directly to ask about possible jobs.
