February 20 was Tuition Freedom Day at Union College—a day to stop and celebrate the generous donors who fund 31 percent of the cost of each student’s education.
Every year we celebrate the day that comes 69 percent of the way through the year when a student’s tuition no longer covers the cost of their Union education and generous donor gifts make up the rest. After our weekly campus-wide uGather event, students and employees congregated in Heartland Hall in the College View Church to enjoy pizza and sign thank you cards for our many donors.
This video is what some of those students had to say about donors covering 31 percent of the cost of their education.
